I am pleased to announce that Sue Jackman has volunteered to become the next president of BLIMP. In 1954 her parents built a camp in the Shady Nook area of Balch and this lake has been a constant in her life ever since.
Sue is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a BS in secondary education. After teaching for two years she spent the balance of her working career in manufacturing management. In 1986 she founded SBS Inc., a consulting business that specialized in accounting, inventory, and manufacturing software. She and her late husband Bob spent 25 years assisting Maine and New Hampshire businesses before selling the business in 2015.
Sues spends her winters in Murrells Inlet, SC and her summers here at Balch Lake. Her love of the outdoors includes swimming, kayaking, hiking in the White Mountains, and sailing along the coast of Maine.
She will officially take the reins on September 9, 2017 and until that time will participate as a full time member of the BLIMP crew. Please pass this good news along to your membership.
Best, Don P
